Bedford Classic Motor Show

Shuttleworth, Old Warden Park, Biggleswade, Bedford

The show is set on the front lawns of Shuttleworth Mansion, part of a large estate bequeathed to Richard Ormonde Shuttleworth in the nineteen thirties. Richard was himself a creditable motor rally and racing driver who had great success driving an Alfa Romeo in the 1935 International Grand Prix at Donington . Opened to the public in the early sixties Old Warden Park is famous for air shows and veteran and vintage cars exhibitions which carry separate admission. The events are held on the May Bank Holiday weekend and are extremely popular.
