Aussie Ashes hit for 4 By Bedford Swann

Former Bedfordshire off spinner Graham Swann took 4 Australian 2nd innings wickets at Lords in the second Ashes test match. Swann's performance with the ball was slightly overshadowed by Freddie Flintoff's 5 wickets in his last Lord's test match. Freddie grabbed the headlines, and understandably so, but Swann's contribution was immense. Mitchell Johnson had come in adding 43 with overnight hero Michael Clarke giving Australia more than a little hope. But it was Clarke who was the second man to fall in the day, for 136, when he tried an ambitious shot in Graeme Swann's first over. By now the crowd was scenting victory. And a party atmosphere developed when Nathan Hauritz lasted only five balls before falling to the indefatigable Flintoff, who also dismissed Peter Siddle. Mitchell Johnson was the last man to fall having made 63. Swann took his wicket giving England a famous victory. This win puts England in the driving seat for the series. The third Test at Edgbaston starts on 30 July
